- Managed re-start of a multi-application solution delivery to the state of Illinois for Health and Family Services. This role included managing a team of 35+ resources both functional and technical. I was retained to help re-start and align a previously estimated 12-month project that had been in progress for 36+ months without completion or closure. Determined that revised user acceptance testing approach was required to manage expectations, delivery and improved communication that had all but dissolved.
- Utilized twice daily scrum meetings to re-engage for what, who and when pieces of work were expected to commence. Agile development was implemented with team members owning delivery based on the minimal viable product from each sprint for delivery. Progress and defect management was monitored daily with agreement on what was closure and what was follow up being clearly identified.
- Managed proposed solution delivery from As Is to the To Be process which including moving from manual entry to automated /workflow process software driven for federal and state funded grant management
- Managed the planning and kickoff of the financial software upgrade and integration with work order management system. Coordinated kickoff project with all leadership, internal teams and contracted vendor team. Facilitated estimation sessions for resources down to the project task level for tracking and traceability. Created project plan with task level detail tied to requirements. Identified risk and provided mitigation options based on how the work effort is expected to start and be maintained.
