  • Developed the architecture for an OTC bond trading reporting system to NASDAQ TRACE. It consists of capturing the OTC bond trading executions from their execution\'s management system, and creating a message by adding appropriate header and trailer and transmit the message over NASDAQ specified IP protocol channels. The system will be using IBM MQ series product for transporting messages between the ORACLE systems. This system also has a database for storing and updating the bond trading transactions\' data.
  • I am the team leader in validating an ECN system. This system was developed for after hour securities trading operation. I lead three I/T specialists developing the project plan, test plan and test cases for validating the system. This involved testing the web entered orders, order match system, market maker functions, broker dealer interface and reporting to ACT system. After the successful testing, client decided to operate this system in a limited functional mode.

  • The team leader, responsible for development and testing of the object oriented framework of a major communication equipment manufacturer's executive compensation system. Managed a team of four I/T specialists providing QA support of the project. I worked with compensation analysts to develop the test cases for the system. I also developed the Smalltalk and Database framework, for unit level testing. Test processes for unit, functional and system level testing, were developed using IBM\'s WSDDM testing methodology and Lotus Notes was used for problem report tracking and management. As a result, the system was able to pay compensation correctly. Other functional problems were reduced significantly and that led to a higher customer satisfaction and prompt payment to IBM. The test cases, frameworks and processes have become an asset to the customer, and they have been incorporated into the 2008 executive compensation systems.
  • The customer migrated their order entry system to SD modules of SAP. As a follow on to the prior engagement, I developed and executed the test plan to interface the Object Oriented (OO) compensation application with the SAP system. The successful completion of testing enabled the compensation application to receive feed files from SAP system and helped the compensation system to be SAP compliant. This led to the implementation of a new I/T infrastructure with SAP. I developed an I/T conversion plan for porting the current OO application to the new SAP system. The plan consists of an Oracle DB as data repository, ABAP/4 as the application logic builder and SAP GUI tool for building user interfaces. The conversion plan gave higher confidence to management about the extendibility of their new SAP I/T infrastructure.

The Rhapsody Integration Engine is placed between healthcare systems, in support for numerous communication protocols and message formats.   • Designed the Attachment of a barcode scanner on an automated conveyer carucel, to a PC and terminal controller, connected to an AS400, which allowed barcode data to be directly inputted into Meldisco's AS400. The scanner acts like a keyboard, reading anything scanned into the field where your cursor is. The scanners required proper interfacing from either a PS2 or USB connection, to the host system. Specialty cable connections to overhaul differing signal protocols were required to support older-style twinax terminals. Developed the Standard program preambles and postambles (keystrokes before or after each barcode read).

  • Converted a message-switching LAN using IBM 3270 Art's to a token-ring packet-switched LAN using Novell Netware v3.11 and IBM PS/2 Model 70\'s for access to an IBM 3274 WAN major node/Cluster Controller. Configured RS/6000 (AIX/UNIX) Workstations for graphical unit interfacing (GUI) to an IBM ES/4381 centralized shared file Database, through tandem IBM PS/2 Model 95 File-Servers. Installed and configured the MS-Windows (DOS, UNIX) based application software and configured the hardware (PS/2, RS/6000, 3274) for this LAN upgrade. Converted the Workstations to OS/2 to clean this network up.
  • Expanded the capacity of the communication channel between the IBM ES/4381 Database server running MVS-XA, and the Series-1 Mini-Computers running the RPS operating system. Implemented the Direct Channel Attachment (DCA) feature through an IBM 3880 Storage Director to an e-beam system Commutating Buffer, causing the bit rate to Increase and the Probability of bit error to Decrease.
