Responsibilities:
- I administer and execute IMF CADE 2 processing. That entails making sure the codes changes through legislation and in-house means are properly coded, vigorously tested prior to advancement to production. Process daily testing using Scheduler, Informatica, Control-M and CLIST. When errors are produced, my job includes identifying the errors and sending them to the group responsible for correction.
- CADE 2 stands for Customer Account Data Engine (CADE 2). It is the next step in IRS’s Information Technology modernization efforts and it builds on the foundation of Current CADE. It is one of the IRS’s top priority information technology investments and its successful implementation is essential to reaching the data centric vision for tax administration.
- CADE 2 will provide faster refunds for millions of eligible individual taxpayers and faster payment postings, account updates and taxpayer notices. CADE 2 will be implemented in a phased approach. The first phase, known as Transition State 1 (TS 1), will support daily versus weekly processing - providing more accurate, timely data to our frontline employees; and is expected to allow the IRS to update and settle accounts more quickly. TS 1 will also provide a single database - a central source of trusted data - stored in a format that makes reporting and retrieval faster and more efficient.
- CADE 2 will leverage existing systems and components, including Individual Master File applications, to access and update taxpayer account data, manage cases and resolve account issues. It will implement a single system that uses a relational database (DB2) for daily processing of accounts that are currently supported by IMF and current CADE.
