As an important link between the Business and Technology, consultants work with clients to analyze and review the established relationship between the two and how gains can be achieved through process analysis and integration initiatives. This involves engaging with both senior business-orientated stakeholders, and more technically minded IT experts. Primarily projects are based around large scale Operational and IT transformations, but can involve smaller more bespoke technical and business process design and implementations. Role includes:

  • Firm specialist in Business and IT Requirements and Requirements Visualisation: Manage and own a specific method pack for requirements visualisation. This involves leading a team of 5+ to create and present proposals to clients and subsequently leading the onsite team client and Deloitte team to identify, refine and validate both high level and detailed functional requirements. Experience owning this process for large scale review of business and IT process and design. Performed at top tier clients globally and also involves training individuals in use of the visualisation tool both internally and client based.
  • Analyst Committee Chair: Currently preside as Chairman for the 2011/12 Analyst Committee. This involves leading a Committee of 8+ peers, creating and pushing initiatives through to over 500 individuals under our responsibility. Liaising with senior firm leaders, building and presenting business cases for budget requirements and new firm-wide initiatives; broadening and growing our responsibilities through innovation schemes using social media and representing the peer community to senior decision-makers through forums and feedback.

2008 to 2009: Enterprise Risk Services Consultant, Confidential, London
As part of role within Consulting, a post as an ERS Consultants for 12 months was performed. ERS Consultants are required to work with clients to help them understand IT and business environments, analyse their IT and business related risks and make recommendations for improvements.

2007 to 2008: Business Development Executive, Confidential, London
Senior business development role responsible for building company portfolio, managing client expectations and procuring new business. Working under own initiative to secure opportunities and contracts, position also involved mentoring and training new team individuals. Dealt with international client budgets in excess of £400,000 from a young age. Role included:

  • Developed new bespoke prospective client brochure now used as company standard for all bids. Clients included DWP, Energy Trust, Coca Cola, MoneySupermarket.com, Kia, F&C Investments, Estee Lauder.
  • Created detailed training manual for future employees with minimal pre-existing material.
  • Significantly re-organised prospective client tracking and follow up procedures resulting in increased client take up.
