Title: Obstacle Avoidance ROBO using IR Sensors.
Team Size: 4
Tools Used: Microcontroller (8051), KEIL soft ware, IR sensor modules, Embedded C.
Description:
Autonomous vehicles like driverless cars are coming up in near future. For this we have implemented a model of Robot. Implementation mainly involves two major tasks. One is routing (path, or maps) using GPRS and GPS systems. Second is, in path obstacle avoidance which has been implemented by sensors to detect obstacles and detection mechanism to get rid of obstacle and to drive the vehicle away from it. We used Infrared sensors with proper detection algorithm implemented by Embedded C programming for this task.
