Developed a series of programs (in Base SAS under Windows) to support monthly valuation of the non-performing loan portfolio. SAS programs carried out monthly ETL processing as follows. Data was extracted from flat files representing multiple input streams of prices at the loan level. Subsequent to extraction, transformationincluded data aggregation across loan attributes, computation of UPB-weighted average prices, ranking of property state by UPB, and match-merging of results as summarized across multiple sources of input data. Subsequent to transformation, monthly aggregate data was loaded to a permanent repository in SAS. Subsequent to data load, SAS programs performed additional tasks that included data transposition and export to Excel to enable time trend analysis of model and dealer prices across a variety of loan characteristics (such as unpaid principal balance, loan-to-value ratio, months delinquent, property state, and modification type).

Used Base SAS (Version 9.1.3) and SAS Enterprise Guide running on a UNIX server to develop a series of programs for the provision of statistical profiles of financial and operational risk for member firms within industry segment. SAS programs performed quarterly ETL processing as follows. Source data was extracted from numerous tables and schema comprising an enterprise Oracle database. Subsequent to extraction, data transformation included numerous table joins to correctly relate member firms, quarterly SEC filing events, and detailed financial information contained within those filings (income, assets, liabilities, net capital, and reserves). Computations included financial risk measures, relative risk scores based on percentiles, and overall rank based on risk. Results were loaded to a permanent repository in SAS. Subsequent to data load, results were exported from SAS to Excel for distribution to end users and were utilized in the planning process to target member firms for onsite audits and examinations.

Experience in Web development and production environments providing programming support with regard to monthly ETL and reporting processes that were run to track resources, obligations, and expenditures related to the Deepwater acquisition and modernization program. Such processes utilized Base SAS (Version 9.1), SAS Output Delivery System (ODS), and SAS Connect to generate HTML documents and multi-dimensional cubes that were uploaded from a database server to a delivery portal on the Web server. Performed upgrades to existing production programs so as to extract and manipulate detail and summary financial information from relational tables representing transactions and accounts in an enterprise Oracle database. Developed a series of programs to perform retrospective ETL processing as follows. For each of four categories of readiness (surface, aviation, people, and positions), data was extracted from a series of monthly, archived text files, verified, and loaded to a historical repository in SAS that was the basis for readiness reporting on the Web server.
