This system is deployed in production for one of the customer of Cycle30. The Force.com solution is integrated with Backend System java based application hosted on an Application Server for provisioning and billing purpose.
- The system is mainly designed for Telecom Players i.e. MNO's who has their own network setup ready and want a billing solution to manage the customer accounts, inventory, services/subscriptions, billing, invoicing, payments and provisioning/fulfillment of services.
- This system is developed for two types of Users, one is CSR i.e. customer service representatives and other is self-care/end users.
- This Force.com solution is divided into three SF managed packages,
- Core- Exposes the common core services/api for managing accounts, users, catalogs, subscriptions, inventory etc.
- These common billing services are packaged in SF Managed Release package in order to be extended by other business verticals billing solutions like M2M, Cable triple pay, Wireless etc. .
- Payments- Managed Release package developed for payment processing with external Payment Gateways
- Portal - Holds only UI pages consuming the services exposed by Core and Payments package as an extension package.
- Portal package has dedicated CSR and Self-Care web portal built to facilitate both in-house CSR and Admins and end-users actual customer to use the billing system respectively.
- Following are the features developed in current M2M application:
- The current application allows the CSR i.e. Customer service representatives to manage customer accounts, add/modify/disconnect services, check invoices, usage reports and payments on Force platform. Application also supports canceling an order flow and future-dated order.
- This Order to Cash application is integrated with Backend system to add /modify account, add/modify/disconnect/suspend/cancel services. All of this communication happens in the form of Orders to backend system from Force over REST.
- Cycle30 also exposed one self-service portal for their end-user. End-users can use this site to register to portal, can add other members to account, change their existing plans and services, check invoices and make payments for the services they have obtained.
- Now on the similar lines with new enhancements and domain specific modifications, team is currently developing a generic common product for Cable, Wireless, and Triple Play business.
