Produced .NET solutions in web-based multi-tier projects for two projects at the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Training and Education Command in Quantico, VA.
The main project was as a technical lead for the reengineering of two legacy systems responsible for the Course Catalog and Student Registration System for the USMC. One system was mainframe based and the other consisted of an Oracle Form web based application running on Oracle 8i. Responsible for the requirement analysis and system design using the UML based approaches. The new system called Student Registrar was centered on a .Net Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using C# with a front end in ASP.Net and an Oracle 9i database server.
The other project was as a developer and provided a web based mechanism to gather basic information about the course subject matter of the USMC. The front-end layer relied on VB.Net / ASP.Net. The business / data layer end was implemented in an object oriented approach using C# with a Microsoft SQL 2000 Server database.

Led the team that converted the IRS’s mainframe-based reporting system to a Microsoft .Net web-based report viewing system. The team consisted of six developers (who were also database modelers). The team built a system that could import report-based data files into a database server and then allowed the user to view reports through a web-based user interface with added security controls. The project involved ASP.Net, XML, XSLT, Translator Engine using EDI Application Integrator, XML Schema, VB.Net, TSQL as well as SQL server processing of XML data.
