  • Worked on migrating MS Access data tables to MS SQL Server to meet company’s new Enterprise Database Management System security initiative. This entailed migrating data from MS Access to MS SQL Server then re-linking it back to their respective MS Access objects. Plus resolved data type conversion issues and used Pass-Through queries in Ms Access to delete and recreate tables in MS SQL server to match the existing functionality that exited in Ms Access databases prior to migration. Took on the role of sysadmin in MS SQL Server at unit (local), model (development) & production environments for creation of databases and their objects. Detached & attached databases to different server environments. Plus, creation of logins (Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication), users and assigning permissions. Also, created and scheduled backup plans and ODBC file dsn connections. Based on BRD & FRD developed via JAD Session/Scribe.

Also took existing mock pivot table reports in Excel that were later transformed into summarized Crystal Reports.
  • Migrated MS Access data tables to Oracle 11g via Toad and then linking them back to Ms Access Objects. Resolved MS Access data types conversions issues to Oracle i.e. Auto Number, Yes/No and default dates by adding default values to tables at creation time, adding constraints, sequences, triggers and changing data types. Tested on exporting tables to MS Excel then creating csv files and using Oracle SQL Loader to import data into Oracle.
  • Developed Archive Medical Claims database (5 million Records) for the sole purpose to access EOBs (Eligibility of Benefits) on policy holders for auditing and regulatory purposes. To achieve this, two things had to be done, one move large amount of data received from TPA (Third Party Administrator) on their Association in MS Excel format to MS SQL Server 2014 using SSIS and massage it to requirements. Secondly create an MS Access database with the necessary queries, forms and macros that will consume the tables created in MS SQL Server 2014 through linking. Added print functionality to forms. Developed the BRD & FRD via JAD Secession/Facilitator.
  • Performed Cube finalization & archiving using Oracle Essbase Administration Services tool version 11 on a quarterly basis. Verified the finalization of the cube via Oracle Essbase Sheet Add-In for Excel version 11. Also involved in the of this process.
  • Provided support to users on MS Excel, Crystal Reports, MS Access, Toad, SQL scripts & on all the MS Access databases data tables that were migrated to Oracle (11g) and MS SQL Server (2012/2014) as back ends and involved in knowledge transfer .
