  • Implemented a Linux Device Driver on PowerPC processor Description: Wrote Linux Driver to implement CRC on PowerPC processor. The main objective was to create a device driver that supports the hardware CRC core and to write an application to test the device driver. Hardware programming language (VHDL) as well as Software programming language (C/C++) were used.
  • Design of a DPSK communication system Description: Simulated a differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) communication system and evaluated its error performance in presence of white Gaussian noise. Implemented using C and Matlab.
  • Design of a WLAN (Wireless local area network) Description: Developed a detailed model for evaluating the trade-offs and requirements for designing a WLAN within a specific area of the UNC Charlotte Campus. Our team investigated the interrelationship between frequency reuse, sectoring, user activity and user density. Programmed using C, C++ and Matlab.
  • GSM based I/O control Description: Developed a system consisting of 2 cell phones and a microcontroller which is connected to the output of the second cell phone. SMS sent from the 1st cell phone to the 2nd, controls the output ports of the microcontroller.
