The systems worked on included Convert, which is a set of assembler programs that convert a customer's file into KBM format, Value Counts, which is a set of C programs that give a customer a better idea of the type of data that has been selected for mailing campaigns, and Revert, which is the opposite of Convert, that is, it's a system that puts data that has been massaged by KBM into a specific customer's output format. Applications were designed to run on the mainframe, and were written exclusively in C and Assembler.

Worked on the ETL portion of a data warehouse called BACARDI Bank of America Card Info , which is written mostly in C, Korn Shell scripts, DB2 SQL, and some SAS.

- Worked on the design, original implementation, maintenance, testing, trouble-shooting and sun-setting of the back-end of a 3-Tier Client/Server application called ISAT IBM Services Assistant Tool , which is an application used by internal sales at IBM, and external Business Partners of IBM, to assist in price quotes and the eventual contracting of Services and Hardware Maintenance Contracts with IBM in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Originally, our OS platform was OS/2, but that soon changed to AIX. The server programs are written to run under CICS, almost entirely in PL/I some C the database used has been DB2 surprise , and the updates and maintenance of the DB were implemented on AIX with Korn shell scripts. The most interesting applications have been the prepayment calculations, the data cacher basically a circular buffer that keeps the most used data that is referenced from a remote, legacy DB2 system , and what we call the Data Pool Handler, which is a utility that translates a flattened data stream of Java objects, and makes a tree of structures that is palatable to our PL/I application programs. - Assignment involved maintenance and support of CACS Credit and Collections System . The work was done using MicroFocus Cobol in a CICS, DB2 environment, all running on an RS6000 with AIX 4.1.4 as the OS. Confidential
- Projects included High Speed Data Transport a higher speed ftp, with checkpoint/restart capabilities and the development and implementation of a Message Passing API, which is a flexible, platform-independent set of functions with TCP/IP as the underlying protocol, that would allow the application programmer to be unconcerned with the implementation specific aspects of TCP/IP. The work on these projects was done almost exclusively in C, with some of the work on MVS requiring Assembler. Both projects were multi-platform NT, MVS, Win95, and AIX . Confidential
- Responsibilities included coding, testing, and maintenance of batch and on-line order entry system, and its ancillary VSAM control files. Languages used for coding included 370 Assembler heavy , Cobol moderate , PL/I moderate , QuikJob moderate to heavy , RPG II heavy . Also extensively used MVS JCL and IDCAMS. Worked on PC front-end version of mainframe order entry, using C. Developed, in C, and supported a back-end product which was an interface between Acxiom's order entry system and Federal Express' Powership Plus, for use by Acxiom's shipping department. Developed LCF LOFS Control File, a rudimentary data dictionary Service, which is a CICS Service written in SAS C and 370 Assembler, that allows users on other platforms to easily access the LCF.
