  • As a contract Software Technical Writer at Agena Bioscience, I described REST APIs for the Perseus project. I participated in Altassian JIRA Agile development team meetings and worked with individual developers to create API design documentation. I used Swagger to define and diagram REST API’s being developed according to Open API specifications (openapi) for a new project built in Gradle. The API’s enabled REST Clients to access Agena Bioscience applications via HTTP. Working with the senior software architect in the team, I entered initial descriptions into PlantUml to obtain diagrams. I moved code into Confidential and then, imported the YAML code into Swagger for more details. Taking the Swagger Editor designs, I used IntelliJ IDEA to index and test API source code, etc. In the process, I defined project API component paths, definitions, parameters, and responses.
