(Some paid and some not paid work at this juncture).
(This was important charity work, as done by me, during my Dad’s illness and subsequent death from pancreatic cancer).
Theses duties were outside of the corporate world and into the world of Non Profits and serious health care issues and events as time permitted.
The Friends for Life Group, Episcopal Annunciation Church revolved around certain HIV and AIDS and Cancer Groups and cases and case histories in our State – (thru Oradell and in Oradell NJ and the surrounding towns).
Also, the 9/11 Memorial Landscaping Project-with the Bergen Regional Medical Center and associated work there and the fund raising chores with Buddies of New Jersey- another AIDS Organization.
Other Volunteer duties with the Imperial Court of NYC as the organization recognized by the Congress of the US that raises thousands of dollars in funds for projects like (G O D’s LOVE WE DELIVER) among others to feed hungry New Yorkers
Serious volunteer work done, with the aged at the Veteran’s Home of Paramus New Jersey, (as my Dad was a Veteran of WWII). Duties involved reading to veterans and organizing their Book and CD Libraries.
These duties revolve around people skills and assessing the needs of others. Compassion requirements in helping, to feed those that are hungry and helping to lend some warmth where it is needed. Produced a training guide for operations to be performed on the assembly lines and bakeries for their products. This was in conjunction with Pansophic Software systems, leaders in manufacturing and food preparation and assembly plant operations software.
Worked with plant managers, IT directors and the manufacturing staff themselves. An easy to understand, technical but operations driven training guide was researched and created for the Nabisco plant personnel.
Swiss Bank Corporation – SBC…. (now UBS)… 4WTC
Worked on a variety of documentation projects, (as a consultant), for five years.
Wrote several training guide(s), for use in the banks’ training programs and training center(s).
One of these manuals dealt with the VIPs system. This was a new vendor invoice payment and processing system for all the IT equipment purchased for Swiss Bank branches throughout the world.
Performed some of the training courses, (with the material that I had written) and worked closely with the staff, (as new system(s) were implemented). SBC contains an entire floor with state of the art training facilities.
Establish, write and distribute and secure a proper Disaster Recovery Plan. A three-pronged approach was created for this written document, which focused on technology, facility and procedural steps to be taken in a downtime emergency, a systems failure or a complete inability to perform normal operations. Also did work for the trading room and I/T teleconferencing systems.
