WebSphere Commerce Developer Resume

SUMMARY:

A Senior WebSphere Commerce Developer is responsible and accountable for the quality and coding of software components that make up complex systems serving its members and suppliers.
This includes both hands - on development and testing of systems using Java language, messaging queues, web services, WebSphere Commerce components, and other frameworks.
This WebSphere Commerce role requires a deep experience in WebSphere Commerce and software development, a wide range of mid-tier and back end systems, and database knowledge. WebSphere Commerce Developers will work independently and under the direction of more senior IT architects and team leads while contributing to multi-layered solution architectures that comprehend and specify business, application, data and infrastructure designs.
This person may also be called upon to lead a team of more junior developers.
A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated software development experience
Expert knowledge of WebSphere Commerce design, workflow, techniques and best practices.
Experience packaging and deploying Java applications using WebSphere Application Server.
Strong understanding of the WCS run-time framework, WCS EJB, and Web Services.
Demonstrated expert knowledge in one IDE (ie. Eclipse)
Demonstrated expert knowledge in Java and at least one Java framework (ie. Spring)
Experience in application architecture, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of web based applications using Java.
Experience in J2EE architecture and development including Servlets, EJBs, JMS, and JSP, web services, XML processing tools, JavaScript and HTML.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge in an enterprise-class RDBMS and SQL
Demonstrated advanced knowledge in MVC framework pattern and other Design Patterns
Demonstrated advanced knowledge in building, debugging and maintaining mission critical enterprise applications.
Experience in a wide range of development activities encompassing requirements analysis, design specification, translating business requirements, requirements-driven test cases, and enterprise-level software deployment and installation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a global team
Completed at least five full professional software engineering projects across multiple platforms
Have core Java expertise (JDK 1.5+)
JEE expertise, including JSP/Servlet, JDBC and JMS
Extensive experience with software design fundamentals and design patterns
Proficiency with web languages, including HTML and JavaScript
Proficiency with computer networking and Unix fundamentals
Understanding of UML diagrams
Experience with software design, project management and implementation tools such as ANT, Maven, JUnit, Log4J, etc.
Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures and Web Service architectures
Experience working with open source frameworks (Hibernate, Velocity, etc.)
Significant experience with tuning and refactoring code, and assessing the impact of architectural decisions on performance and scalability
Experience with deploying, configuring and tuning common application servers and packages
Experience with relational database modeling and creating advanced SQL queries/procedures
Source control experience (Git/Subversion - branching, merging, etc.)
